The great thing about having two bathrooms.

So the cute powder room, the one I painted a color that I'll now call "Tiffany box blue" instead of "old pickup blue"? I've found another use for it -- the blocking room.

My Verdant Root -- a greener version of Rusted Root -- is currently blocking on the floor. The long-suffering boyfriend is being very understanding about all this, especially since heaven only knows when it will dry in this dreary weather.

In the interim, I finally cast on for ye olde razor cami. I'm not even going to apologize for jumping on the bandwagon with this one -- it's adorable and the stitch pattern is slightly addictive. (And have you seen Katie's new sweater pattern? Makes me long for fall.)

I'm using Yarn Pirate yarn from Pure Knits in the colorway sweetheart. Ok, you're right, it's Yaaaaarn Pirate. Arr.

And here's about where I am so far. It reminds me of a Valentine or candy cane or Fruit Stripe gum.

I also got these little lovelies in the mail today from Charm Woven Labels. These seemed nice and old-fashioned, like something my grandmother would have used, if she could have afforded them. Maybe now I'll be a less selfish knitter?

And just to make you all really jealous, here's an autograph that I won on ebay of Hal Linden and Abe Vigoda from "Barney Miller". Can you believe no one else bid on it?

Hooray for a blocking room! I'm using the spare bedroom (my old bed) in our place -- a vast improvement from the living room floor in my old apartment.

Looking forward to seeing your Verdant/Rusted Root! (And "Send Me on My Way" is totally in my head right now...)

I love the idea of a blocking room! My DH would be thrilled to not have to tip toe around my blocking or drying knits!

Her new fall sweater is AMAZING! I bookmarked it the second I saw it on craftster.

The cami is looking awesome too! I love the colors!

Verdant Root - that is brilliant!
Ummmm...no, how could you be the only bidder? That is a pretty funny picture of Abe Vigoda (whenever I hear his name I just think of Beastie Boys).
The Razor Cami does look like a great knit.
Dreary weather? Is it finally raining there? Hasn't it been ludicrously hot - or is it the humidity that is not letting it dry?
Those labels are great.

Great use of the small bathroom - I usually block on my bed, I think it's time for me to invest in a blocking board!

Reading this post reminded me that my ogee tunic is still soaking in the bathroom sink. Now if only a had a 2nd bathroom to block it in. My lack of blocking space is probably why my sweater had been in the sink for almost an hour. I should go rescue it and clear some floor space!

Your yarn pirate yarn is so pretty!!

You are lucky I did not see that Hal Linden/Abe Vigoda picture on ebay. I probably would have mortgaged my house to ensure winning bid on such a piece of history.
